We are a company dedicated to the commercialization of electricity in the Wholesale Electricity Market (MEM) as authorized in SSE provision No. 113/1998, to the commercialization of fuels, to the advice of large users of MEM, and since 2021 authorized by Irec Standard for the sale of IREC certificates, through the El Chocón hydroelectric plant.
Enel Trading was originally conceived for electricity transactions, but in 2003 the company was recognized by ENARGAS as a Natural Gas Marketer, thus expanding its area of action and constituting a comprehensive energy supply alternative.
The original name of the company was CEMSA (Comercializadora de Energía del MERCOSUR S.A.), and its field of action was essentially the sale of excess electricity from Argentina to Brazil.
Gradually it expanded its business to other markets, incorporating customers and selling energy produced by power plants outside of what was once the Endesa group.
In 2005 it changed its corporate name and isologotype that identified it to Endesa Cemsa and in 2016 it changed its corporate name to Enel Trading Argentina S.A. and is part of the Enel group.
For decades, we have been committed to the process of continuous improvement, and we are part of the Enel Group, a global company with solid roots in the energy sector and a strategy based on digitalization, sustainability and innovation. With a presence in 35 countries on five continents, it supplies energy to more than 73 million final consumers, and has an installed capacity of 89 GW.
Enel Trading Argentina S.R.L., like the entire Enel Group, complies with national laws and international agreements on anti-corruption and prevention of money laundering, including the Penal Code of the Argentine Nation and the United Nations Global Compact. Against Corruption (“GC”).
